Chris and David Arthur welcome you to Felin Glais (Mill by the steep sided stream), a 1650(Circa) Barn and Beast House which lay in ruins for many years. It was sold by auction in 1977 for the
princely sum of £6100.
The new owners demolished all but one wall and took 10 years to rebuild it using the original stone and oak beams from a stable block of a local Manor House.
We purchased the house in 1997 after falling in love with the setting which overlooks the Brecon Beacon mountains and the magnificent Beast House which is presently the lounge and dining room.
We have added a conservatory which during the warmer months is used as a breakfast room and a new wing which consists of two bedrooms with en suite facilities.
Guests use all the house and are encouraged to do so. We started to plan our B&B venture some time after I decided to retire from being a headteacher which I no longer enjoyed. We offer bed
and breakfast and an evening meal for advanced bookings.
Internet facilities are accessible
for a small charge and we have wireless broadband throughout the house. There is a separate no smoking sitting room should guests require it. Garage space is available to store bicycles. Local equestrian is
happy to take small parties including children for riding tuition or pony trekking.
We enjoy having the house full, having only one dining table guests eat and socialize together. Many of our guests have returned and have become firm friends. My love is my garden which guests are welcome to wander around. Friendly dogs are most welcome.
We only ask that guests take their dogs with them whenever they leave the premises and please bring suitable bedding and a towel to clean their feet
before entering the house.
Please note the cancellation and re-allocation clause on the Tariff page.

It's hard to describe what "Felin Glais" means but the words "sheer heaven" come to mind! The scenery, walking, wonderful house & superb food are wonderful, but the warmth of welcome from Chris and David to guests and four-legged friends alike is magical.
